Thank heavens 16 states have just closed voting for the evening…oh wait, PA is keeping several counties open for two more hours.

I’ll admit, the idea of BlogStock cracks me up. A bunch of political bloggers caged by CNN with an open bar. Too funny.

If I hear on CNN “there’s a fly in the jar of ointment” one more time….

After being subjected to politician after politician slinging mud in the last few days as they desperately seek to affect the results of today’s mid-term election, a story about goodness lifted my spirit.

Sometimes the most empowering lessons are SO simple that they are almost too obvious to notice. Like the advice Warren Buffett recently gave Vitaliy Pereverzev of Kazakhstan (who was part of an investment club that traveled to Omaha to meet Buffett and have lunch at Gorat’s, his favorite restaurant). “Be a nice person” Buffett advised.

This from the man voted one of “America’s Best Leaders” by US News & World Report — and not just for his investing track record but for his leadership, influence and the bar he sets for principles in the corporate world in terms of ethics, self-discipline, consistency and transparency in disclosing mistakes.

It’s nice to know that good guys don’t just do good, they do well.
